A translation of SGI President Ikeda's "To My Friends" published in the Seikyo Shimbun.

—TO MY FRIENDS—
"Thinking that we can do things just as we have always done is
not going to create anything great other than another habit!
By totally changing our way of thinking and doing things
let's approach each activity carefully and considerately,
and open up a whole new future.

—DAILY GOSHO—
"Or again we may say that our head corresponds to myo, our throat to ho, our chest to ren, our stomach to ge, and our legs to kyo. Hence, this five-foot body of ours constitutes the five characters of Myoho-renge-kyo."
(The Record of the Orally Transmitted Teachings, p. 28—Gosho zenshu, p. 716)
