To My Friends (Feb. 4)

A translation of SGI President Ikeda's "To My Friends" published in the Seikyo Shimbun and more.

—TO MY FRIENDS—

"From this single element of mind spring all the various lands and environmental conditions."*

The outlook of our community and neighbourhood,
(which is deeply interconnected with our own existence,)
undergoes great positive change, when our lives sparkle and shine.

My dearest fellow members of the SGI—

Brighten up the world around you, be like the sun!

—DAILY GOSHO—
"Suffer what there is to suffer, enjoy what there is to enjoy. Regard both suffering and joy as facts of life, and continue chanting Nam-myoho-renge-kyo, no matter what happens."
