A translation of SGI President Ikeda's "Words of the Week" published in the Seikyo Shimbun.—WORDS OF THE WEEK–
"When one practices the Lotus Sutra under such circumstances, difficulties will arise, and these are to be looked on as 'peaceful' practices."*
It is precisely when we struggle to overcome hardships that our faith is truly strengthened.
Let's muster up our courage and take on all challenges ahead of us, so that we can attain victory and true happiness!
* "Concerning the 'peaceful' practices of the Lotus Sutra of the Wonderful Law and the practices carried out by Nichiren and his followers now in the Latter Day of the Law, you should understand that, when one practices the Lotus Sutra under such circumstances, difficulties will arise, and these are to be looked on as 'peaceful' practices."
